Enamel technique
Beijing Watch has two superb enamel techniques of filigree enamel and miniature enamel and it presents these two techniques in gorgeous and multi-colored dial production. Filigree enamel, represented by “cloisonné”, is one of the most complex one among all the enamel techniques. Filigree enamel refers to the process that, metal threads are preliminarily used to sketch the outline of pattern on metal substrate, then natural adhesion agent is used for fixation, then it is welded to metal substrate. Then, enamel glaze materials with different colors are used to fill in the sketched outline. These enamel glaze materials are composed by finely disintegrated mineral and metallic oxide. Metal sheet is put into specially-made furnace with temperature of 850-900 degrees Celsius for calcination. The color of glaze materials will occur change for the reason of high temperature, then bright colors are created. Filigree enamel is also required to be fired for several times. After each firing, polishing process is required for the bubbles and unevenness appearing on dial. Then, the flawless finished product could be guaranteed.
